Paper Bag Owls

Paper bag owls were fun to design using brown paper bags (upside-down) and tempera paint.

In pencil, students planned their owls with idea assistance from me.
Then, we moved to color stations making color choices with paint. Students are encouraged to use ideas from our color wheel unit- remembering things like having a general color theme, tinting and blending colors to find the effects they desire.

We put one staple in the head end to close it up...then stuff it out to make them puffy in the belly!

Have Fun.
